Family Tree Scrapbooking
When you have spent a a lot of time and energy researching your family history and creating your family tree its natural to want to show or display it in some way so that your friends and family can enjoy it also..Many people choose to use scrapbooking as a method to accomplish this because it displays the work beautifully yet prevents it from becoming damaged or soiled.
Establishing a scrapbook of your family history is no different to starting a scrapbook on everything else. Choose a scrapbook that is going to be stable and big enough to incorporate the volume of information that you plan to put into it.There are many different types of scrapbooks available and it is often possible to add pages to some styles of scrapbooks. This is a great characteristic to have because it permits your family to continue on with the project. Plus, if you ever find any additional information that dates back further than the info you have already collected, with easily detachable pages, you can include additional the information to your scrapbook. Just like with photo albums or other scrapbooks, you need to start with the pictures or documents that come first and therefore are the oldest.
Before you begin its best to decide how you want to layout yor pages. Arrange all of the items you plan to insert into your scrapbook such as photogrpahs, certificates, documents and family tree reports. The beginning of the scrapbook can be the oldest documents you have got that contain the information of the oldest generation. If you are going to start with your great grandparents develop a layout that contains all of the paperwork such as certificates, vital records, pictures, personal memoirs, letters etc. Be sure that you name each piece of information. Include the names and dates associated with the individuals and document their birth places and other places where they may have lived and worked.. What is nice about researching your family tree is having a chance to talk to some of your family and finding out interesting details or stories about your ancestors. Your older family members are often delighted to share their stories with you and it can be a lovely time for them to remeniss about the past. You can find out a lot of information simply by word of mouth. It was common in the past for stories to be passed down from father to son by word of mouth because the literacy levels were not very high in times gone by. Though there are no documents as proof it does not mean that you cannot put these memories into your scrapbook. The orders of the pages following this is your decision and ıs dependent upon the family you were researching.
There are a few important tips you should comply with when designing a family tree scrapbook. Devote each page of the scrapbook to either a couple or to each person. Make sure that the names and dates are clearly visible. It is Important to take time and patience to complete this project. It is a keepsake that will last for generations.

This is such a great idea. I love working on my "Heritage" Album! I have noticed it means a lot to my mom, aunts, uncles, and cousins, too. A family tree scrapbook is not a self-indulgent type of scrapbook that I see too often when people run out of other ideas. I believe they should be intentional and designed, creative works to be passed down through time.
